When we are at a place where our emotions are very big, our logical brain is no longer worker. We have all experienced this and there are even memes stating, “ I am sorry for the things I said when I was…..” Stanley Rosenburg developed a few movements that can done to massage our vagus nerve. This is the nerve that responds to danger and crisis. When we massage it we can turn down the intensity of the situation and establish safety. Not everyone’s system likes these movements. In my experience they have not caused any harm. They either help people or they don’t like it and never do it again. I also noticed that many of these exercises help stretch my body and my eyes when I have been at the computer for too long.
