More resources

In the past articles I mention some books and some videos that may be helpful for the person who likes to do some self learning. Here are a few other resources that can help with anxiety, stress, nervousness or sleep. These are great exercises for managing and understanding the nervous system.

The HeartMath Experience - HeartMath

Heart math has done some really cool science around our 3 foot magnetic field that surrounds us, ways to lower our heart rate which in turn relaxes our body and some other cool stuff. They have a free program that is linked above which is pretty cool. This program has some short digestible videos that can be very helpful.

Spotify – Calm and Confident - Single

Mark Grant has a meditation called Calm and Confident. You can get it for free on Amazon music, Spotify and Apple music. This is designed for you to wear headphone so that you can get the benefit of tones that alternate between both of your ears. I like this because sometimes when I am listening to it I zone out, but it is still relaxing so you don’t have to concentrate too much.

Meditation: A Practice of RAIN (20:00 min.) - Tara Brach

I am a big fan of guided meditation that encouraged you to think instead of telling you to stop thinking. I am also a HUGE fan of meditation that discusses awareness of the body without changing it. Tara Brach does both of these things in the RAIN meditation. You can also find a 10 minute version of this for those of you who feeling like 20 minutes is too long.
